Music Review — B.L.A.C.K. Baron

bb3B.L.A.C.K. Baron an Indie artist from the Northside of Atlanta is definitely making a wave this year with conscious music that refreshingly diverts from the cliché music of the south. Hard-hitting lyrics and lively beats make for an enjoyable listening session. His premiere mixtape produced by Mack P and Uber Collective’s own DJ Cypress Moreno is set to release in 3 days so listeners can add euphoria to their 4/20 experience. The imagery & lyricism are well balanced. He gives you hype music that you can zone out to as well as conscious music that will motivate you to reflect on your life. He constructs vivid stories with his diction and his positive message is sure to leave a lasting impact on his listeners. Readers can sample his music here; those singles will not be featured on his upcoming project but they display his creativity and diversity as an artist.

bb1One of the most riveting things about this mixtape however isn’t solely the music. B.L.A.C.K Baron is the first Indie hip-hop artist to be sponsored by the medical marijuana dispensary, Uber Collective located in Los Angeles, California. With the legitimacy of medicinal marijuana use under debate, his music serves as a catalyst for further discussion. All-in-all a highly anticipated mixtape that will transcend the boundaries of southern hip-hop.
